"COME TO THE TABLE" 
2007 Women's Fall Retreat 

The annual Disciples Women's Fall Retreat was held October 5-7 at YMCA Hargis Retreat Center.  Retreat Co-Directors from District III, Sally Johnson, Sheryl Knight, Hilda Story and Pat Yates; planned an outstanding event around the theme, "Come to the Table."  When you hear this theme, you immediately think of the various "tables" that have been a part of your life in times of celebration and in times of grief.  It seems we all connect around "tables."

Our Resource Leader was Mrs. Brenda Etheridge, past president of the IDWM, formerly ICWF.  Brenda's love for Women's Ministries is evidenced by the many ways she has served her God and her church.   Brenda's enthusiasm is contagious and is sure to lift the spirits of all in attendance.  Those who know and love Brenda are so thankful that she has found a place at their table. 
 
In addition to presentations by Mrs. Etheridge, workshops were  offered entitled "Spiritual Food - Setting the Table," a look at ways communion is shared by many of our sisters around the table.  Also a Bible study on the "Lord's Supper" was offered in a workshop.  Women had the opportunity to participate in other activities such as "One on One with Brenda," retreat choir and a craft session.  We will have our silent auction benefiting Woman to Woman Worldwide and Women's Action Web funds.  The Saturday night fun/skit time was entitled, "Home and Garden."    
 A great time was had by all at "Come to the Table" and everyone was refreshed and renewed during this spiritually-uplifting weekend.
